What Students Are Saying

Makenzie Makar says that through Youth Apprenticeship she has developed valuable skills such as communication, patience, and adaptability-skills that will support her future career goals.

Carter Heike is exploring a future in agriculture through the Youth Apprenticeship (YA) program, an opportunity he learned about from his business education teacher, Mr. Poeschel.

Molly Brooks says her favorite part of her Youth Apprenticeship job is building relationships with students and learning alongside them. She especially enjoys hand-on projects and special experiences like classroom celebrations, field trips, and concerts.

At Wisconsin Metal Fab, Tyler's days are hands-on and full of variety. "I've worked in the press brake area, sand blasting, and with the robot welders," he said. "But most of my time is spent welding. Every day, my area lead gives me a job to work on, and I sptend the day building something new."
